Gordon W. King Gordon W. King, 59, of Cocagne and formerly of Moncton, passed away suddenly and peacefully at his home on Thursday, October 2, 2008. Born in Gander, NL, he was the son of Audrey (Edger) King of Bay Roberts, NL and the late Hubert C. King (1998). Gordon was a member of the former Moncton Police Dept. and retired as Staff Sgt. with the Codiac RCMP, with 33 years service. Besides serving in the greater Moncton area, he also served in New West Valley Detachment, NL. Gordon enjoyed traveling, bird watching, playing golf and tending his lawn and working in his garden. Besides his mother, Gordon leaves to mourn his wife, Ann King of Cocagne; sons, Gordon H. (Beth), Bay Roberts, NL, Kevin M., Moncton; daughter, Jessica King (Carey); grandson, Justin Morais, Hay River, NWT; sister, Olive Ruby (Len), Palmerston North, NZ; a large circle of nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives. Also, many, many friends in New Brunswick and Newfoundland, including colleagues from his years with Moncton City Police and the RCMP. In addition to his father, predeceased by his brother, Hubert James (Jim) King (2007). Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, Monday 2 to 4, 7 to 9pm.
