Stewart Leslie Hay 1933 - 2008 Miramichi - Stewart Leslie Hay, husband of Marilyn Hay, of Winnipeg Cres., of the Miramichi Retirement Community, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday morning, October 5, 2008, at the age of 75. Born in Chatham, on February 6, 1933, he was the son of the late A. Stewart and Ivy (Budd) Hay. He was a retired member of the Canadian Armed Forces (Canadian Army) and was Presbyterian by faith. He is survived by his wife, the former Marilyn Juniper; two daughters, Lori Hay (Mike Gadou), and Diana Gauvin (Pat), all of Miramichi; five grandchildren, Cheryl, Michael, Tammy, Chris and Tanya; twelve great grandchildren; two sisters, Lillian Mallen, of Toronto, Ont. and Alice Lynch, of Baie Ste Anne; one brother, James Hay (Rose), of Weldfield Road, Napan; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Margaret McEacheron; two brothers, Lorne and George Hay. By his request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The public are invited to attend a memorial service to be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, 140 King St., Miramichi, on Saturday, October 11, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Derek Krunys. Interment will be in Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Chapter of the S.P.C.A., or any charity of the donors choice, would be appreciated by the family.
