Alcide DeVarennes

Alcide DeVarennes 1930 - 2008 Alcide DeVarennes, 77, of Résidence O Bon Soin, Shediac and formerly of Saint-Paul, has passed away on Monday October 6, 2008 at the Dr Georges L. Dumont hospital, Moncton after a lengthy illness. Alcide was born in Saint-Paul on November 17th, 1930 to the late Firmin and the late Lydia (Cormier) DeVarennes. Alcide worked for several years as a watchman at the Saint-Paul Nursery and he also worked at the Saint-Paul Co-op. He leaves to mourn him, his wife Cécile (Gaudet) DeVarennes of Bouctouche, his four sons, Fernand (Lisa) of Perth, Australia, Jean-Guy (Lise) of Saint-Antoine, Denis of Calgary, Paul (Ingrid) of Vancouver, his six grandchildren, Melanie, Aiden, Justin, Corey, Genaya, Lucas and one great grandson, Cameron. He also leaves his six sisters, Gladys Dupuis of Dieppe, Mable Charman (Jack) of Digby, NS, Yvette LeBlanc (Yvon) of Bouctouche, Lucie Dupuis (Ulysse) of Dieppe, Lorette Peters (Wayne) of Fredericton, Marie-Mai DeVarennes (Albert LeBlanc) of Fort McMurray, seven brothers, Normand (Corrine) of Moncton, Clifford, Léonard (Florence) both of Saint-Paul, Walter of Grande-Digue, Alderice (Lorraine) of Dieppe, Gerald (Mary), Camille (Lise) both of Montreal, and several nephews and nieces Visitation will be held at the Saint-Paul Roman Catholic Church slumber room, Saint-Paul on Friday October 10th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be on Saturday October 11th, 2008 at 11:00 am at the Saint-Paul church. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
