Frances Logan Godfrey 1922 - 2008 The death of Frances Logan Godfrey, wife of Aubrey Godfrey of People's Park Tower and formerly of West Lane occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, October 9, 2008. Born in Windsor, NS on April 15, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Georgina (Salter) Smith. Frances was an accomplished artist, knitter and cook and she will be fondly remembered as a good wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband, Aubrey of 67 years, two sons Jack (Shirley) of Dartmouth and Bill (Marilyn) of Moncton as well as her grandchildren, Sarah, Michael, Georgina, Cindy, Stephen and Shawn. Frances is also survived by six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her parents, her son David and her siblings. Resting at Cadman Bowness Funeral Home (857-1110) 114 Alma Street, Moncton, visiting hours are Tuesday from 7 to 9pm and Wednesday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm. Parish prayers and sharing of memories will be Wednesday evening at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 16, 2008 at Holy Family Church at 11am with Father Phil Mulligan officiating. A reception will follow in the church hall. Interment will be in Fairhaven Cemetery. Donations in Mrs. Godfrey's memory made to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick would be appreciated by the family.
