Claudette M. Melanson 1946-2008 After a prolonged illness on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at The Moncton Hospital passed away Claudette Marie Melanson, 62, beloved wife of Gerry Melanson. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Courageous to the end, she fought hard but now is embraced in heaven. Born July 1, 1946 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Annie (Caissie) LeBlanc. Besides her husband of 40 years, she is also survived by her two loving sons, Robert (Davina) of Port Williams, NS and Danny (Tanya Vautour) of Moncton; her two precious grandchildren, Kenzie and Keira; her dear brothers and sisters: Joe (Elaine) of Hudson, MA, Gerry (Edna), Yvon (Barb), Jeannine LeBlanc, Bernice Jaillet (Roger), Yvonne LeBlanc (Brian), Emerice LeBlanc (Mike) all of Moncton, Linda Leger of Riverview, and Norma LeBlanc of Alberta; many nieces, and nephews. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm., Friday, from 9 am. until departure (9:50 a.m.). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, Friday October 24 at 10 am. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe.
