Frances I. Scott 1911 - 2008 Miramichi - Frances Isabella Scott, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Queen St., Miramichi, passed away at her residence, on early Wednesday morning, October 29, 2008, at the age of 97. Born in Chatham, on May 25, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Richard and Hannah (Gammon) Scott. Having left the Miramichi area in her early years, she was a former employee of the Polaroid Corp., in Cambridge, Mass., USA as well as the B.F. Goodrich Ltd. She was a member of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, in Cambridge, Mass., USA. She is survived by one sister in law, Roberta Scott, of Bathurst; as well as three nephews and one niece. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, having been predeceased by one sister, Roxanna Scott and brothers, Norman, Gordon, Herbert and John F. (Jack) Scott. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Thursday evening only, from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, October 31, 2008, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire-MacKnight. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
