Martha Christine Burchill The death of Martha Christine Burchill wife of John Burchill of Miramichi, NB occurred at her late residence on Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at the age of 90. Born in Roblin, MN she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Mabel (MacDonald) Greenaway. Martha was a member of the Anglican Church Women and a active member of the Miramichi Duplicate Bridge Club. Martha is survived by two daughters: Catherine Johnson of London, On and Maggie Pearson of Derby, NB; five sons: Chris of Quarryville, NB, Phillip (Rita) of Eastern Passage, NS, John (Cheryl) of Quispamsis, NB, Andy (Debbie) of Cochrane, AB, and Archie (Pam) of Middle Sackville, NS; one stepdaughter: Barbara Hambrook (Mark) of South Esk, NB; two stepsons: Derrick (Kathy) of Chatham, NB and John of Bushville, NB; one brother: John (Gwen) of Kelowna, BC; eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; ten step grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her 1st. husband Stuart Johnson; one sister Kathleen; and three brothers: Clarence, Robert and Archie. Visitation was held at Bell's Funeral Home Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9. Funeral Service will be held from St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Newcastle, NB today, Oct 31. at 11 AM with Father Douglas Barrett officiating.
