Yvonne Lusk

Yvonne Lusk 1926-2008 Marie-Jeanne Yvonne Lusk (nee Mayer) passed away peacefully at the age of 82 years on November 2nd, 2008 at the Queensway-Carelton Hospital in Ottawa with her family by her side. Survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Robert John Lusk. Loving mother of Robert John (Ginette) of Moncton, NB; Ronald Patrick (Barbara) of Moncton, NB; Gordon Thomas (Barbara) of Pointe Claire, Quebec; Margaret Ruth (Ivan Listar) of London, Ontario; and Colleen Louise (Robert Morin) of Ottawa. Also will be missed by Kaye Brown. Loving grandmother of Kristine (Jon Hasson); Allison (Tim Silcox); Kimberly (Scott Watson); Greg Lusk (Jackie Witt); Matthew Lusk (Rayna Couture); Matthew Listar; James Lusk; Stefan Listar (Heidi); Martha Lusk; Alexander Lusk; Nicholas Lusk; Michael Morin (Shauna). Loving great-grandmother of Ava Silcox, Evan Watson, Cole Hasson, and Cassandra Morin. Survived by brother Arthur Mayer (Pierrette) and many nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by parents Joseph and Marie-Louise Mayer; and brothers and sisters Helen, Lucille, Bert, Fred, Willie, Marie, John, Rolly, George, and Therese; and her loving in-laws, Martha and Ira Lusk. Yvonne was born in Sturgeon Falls and raised in Field, Ontario. At a young age she moved to Hornepayne, Ontario where she met her husband Together, as their family grew, they lived in Hornepayne, Capreol, Barrie and Foleyet, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec; Moncton, NB; Lagos, Nigeria; Chittagong, Bangladesh; Mbabane, Swaziland; St. John's , Nfld; Chateauguay, Quebec; and Ottawa. While in Moncton Yvonne was employed by Shoppers Drug Mart on Mountain Road and attended St Bernard's Roman Catholic Church. A mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 153 Woodroffe Avenue (corner Byron), Ottawa on Thursday, November 6th at 11 a.m. The honorary pallbearers are her grandsons Greg Lusk, Matthew Lusk, Matthew Listar, James Lusk, Stefan Listar, Alexander Lusk, Nicholas Lusk, and Michael Morin.
