1927 - 2008 Philip Cohen of Glace Bay passed away peacefully Wednesday, Nov. 12, 2008 at the Glace Bay Health Care Complex with his daughter and granddaughter by his side. Born in Glace Bay, Philip was the son of the late George and Mary Cohen. Philip was a man with a strong sense of character and strength. He was a lifelong member of the Congregation Sons of Israel, Glace Bay. Philip was predeceased by his loving wife, Dorothy; sister, Bella and a brother, Manson. Philip will be sadly missed by his daughter, Diane Cohen of Glace Bay; grandchildren, Cheryl Cartwright, Toronto, and Samuel Cartwright, Vancouver. A funeral service will be held Friday, Nov. 14 at 11 a.m. at Patten Funeral Home, 71 Union St., Glace Bay, 849-7520. Burial to take place in the Hebrew Cemetery, Glace Bay.
