Rita Melanson 1923 - 2008 Rita Melanson, 85 of Cocagne, has passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family after a brief illness at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Moncton on Wednesday November 12th, 2008. Married to the late John Melanson (April 30, 2008), she was born in Saint-Gregoire on February 24th 1923 to the late Fidèle and the late Marie (Richard) Cormier. She is survied by her three daughters, Jeannette Breau (Donald) of Grande-Digue, Gloria Cormier (Lauria) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Linda Robichaud (Fernand) of Cocagne, three sons; Roger (Rose-May) of Saint-Antoine, Rhéal (Monique) of Cocagne, Maurice of Lakeville, twelve grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren, she also leaves to mourn her, four sisters; Aline Dallaire (Philibert), Alida Cormier (Ulric) both of Cocagne, Irène DesRoches (Léo), Yvonne LeBlanc (Laurie) both of Moncton, one brother, Edgar (Loretta) of Saint-Grégoire, and several nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by three sons, René, Jean-Paul, Donald, one sister, Edith and three brothers, Edmond, Arsène and Gerard. Visitation will be held at the Saint-Pierre Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Cocagne on Friday November 14th, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and Saturday from 9 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Cocagne Church on Saturday November 15th, 2008 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Rita's memory donations can be made to the Dr Georges L.
