Roger J. Richard 1940-2008 Peacefully surrounded by the ones he loved on Thursday, December 4, 2008, passed away Roger J. Richard of Irishtown. Born April 9, 1940 in Saint Ignace, he was the son of the late Théodore and Régina (Robichaud) Richard. A carpenter by trade, he was employed at D.N.D. Supply Depot No. 5 before his retirement. Roger enjoyed dancing, fishing, working with his tools, playing Dominos, the Lottery, and was a member of the St-Charles and N-D-de-la-Paix Golden Age Clubs. He will be sadly missed by his two daughters: Monique Phinney (Tim) and Claudette Richard (Daniel Fournier); their children: Cory, Hannah, Laura, Patrick, Mathieu, Josée, Isabelle & Julien; his former wife, Maria (Gallant) Richard, a brother, Albert Robichaud (Elizabeth); their children: Paul and Denis. He will also be missed his common-law wife, Maria (Daigle) Chevarie; her children: Ronny (Jocelyne), Roberta (Jim Taylor), and Claire (Françis Bérubé); their children: Mélanie, Melissa, Sonia, Natasha, Shawn, and Jeff; their children: Emily, and Sophie, a brother, Albert Robichaud (Elizabeth); their children: Paul and Denis; many other nieces, nephews, and friends. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix R.C. Church, Murphy Avenue, Moncton, on Monday, December 8, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. Ignace.
