Alcide Thibodeau Alcide Thibodeau, 87, of Grand-Barachois passed away Saturday, December 13, 2008 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born August 18, 1921 in Robichaud, NB, he was the son of the late Jacques and Alice (Cormier) Thibodeau. He was a retired foreman for Modern Construction, a member of the Barachois Golden Age Club, and past-president of Rainbow Club. Alcide also enjoyed bowling, dancing, and playing darts. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Florine (Melanson); his seven loving children: Bernice Gaudet (Louis-Joseph), Lise Thibodeau- Bourgeois (Mario), Rhéal (Jacqueline), and Régis (Elva) all of Grand-Barachois, Roseline Cormier of Dieppe, Diane Leger (Mike Miller) of Shediac, and Bertrand (Lise) of Moncton; eleven grandchildren: Paula, Terry, Luc, Josée, Mireille, Mario, Nathasha, Jérémy, Jacques, Marc, and Karine; three great-grandchildren: Justin, Janie, and Samuel. Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. at Frenette Funeral Home, 396 Main Street, Shediac (532-3297). The funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois, Tuesday, December 16 at 11 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
