Jeanne O'Reilly Jeanne O'Reilly, 85, widow of the late John (Jack) O'Reilly passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec 22nd at the Miramichi Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lancing, England, August 24th, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Gwendolyn (Smith) Kennard. Jeanne was a quiet, gentle woman who served in the Women's Auxially Air Force of Britian during World War II and arrived in Canada as a warbride in 1946. She is survived by her eleven Children, Maureen (Ron) Wallace of Masstown, NS., Frank at home, Barbara (David) Morrison of Miramichi, Stephen (Barb) of Bartibogue, Diane (Wally) Doucette of Miramichi, Kevin (Mary) of Timberlea, NS, Janet (Kevin) Gibbs of Miramichi, Edward (Darlene) of Sackville, NB., Gail (Mike) Davis of Miramichi, David (Demming) of Miramichi, Shaun (Jaunita) of Miramichi, twenty-four grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren and one brother, Edward (Audrey) Kennard of Lancing England. Jeanne was a home maker, who was a friend to her children, as well as a loving mother. Although she was busy raising eleven children she always had time for volunteer work, which was a very fulfilling part of her life. She was a religion teacher, a teacher aide and a member of St. Vincent de Paul as well as "Meals on Wheels". Jeanne was loved by all who known her for her quiet, gentle Manner. Jeanne rested at Maher's Funeral Home Miramichi, NB., on Tuesday Dec 23rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday Dec 24th at 11am from St Michael's Basilica with Fr John Fraser officiating. Active Pallbearers were her sons; Frank, Stephen, Kevin, Edward, David and Shawn. Honorary Pallbearers were Greg McLaughlin, Ronnie Barry, Wayne MacDonald, Wayne Fraser, Edward Gorman, David Breen, Billy Sargent, Jimmy Blakely, Anne Breen, Vye Breau, Caroline Daley and Rick Melanson. War Brides, Mary Blakely, Kay McCarthy, Mary King, Kay Stark, Peggy Barry and Dorothy Herchey As expressions of sympathy donations to the memorial of ones choice would be appreciated.
