Arden Clyde Brewster

Arden Clyde Brewster 1929 - 2009 Arden Clyde Brewster, 79, of Riverside-Albert passed away peacefully on January 8, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital. Arden was born in Harvey Bank, Albert County, N.B. on March 19, 1929, the son of the late Vernon and Lottie (Cannon) Brewster. Arden left New Brunswick at the age of 21 to work in Toronto and London, Ontario for many years. He was a Heavy Equipment Dealer at Black Wood Hodge. He retired in the early 80's and went to work for himself starting Art Brewster Equipment Limited. In 1985 he and his wife, Mildred, returned to retire in Riverside-Albert. He was an avid boater and belonged Port Stanley Yacht Club. He served on the Bay View Cemetery Board. He was a member of the Friendship Senior Citizens Club in Riverside-Albert and also belonged to the Shepody Fish and Game Association. Arden loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing when he was able. He also really enjoyed going on little outings with his wife, Mildred, the two of them would never miss a community supper or event. They really enjoyed times spent with all their family and friends. He will be remembered for his smile and will be missed by all who knew him. Arden will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Mildred (Elderkin) Brewster; his two sons, Norman of London, Ontario and Grant (Eleanor) of Toronto, Ontario; his five precious grandchildren, Ryan, Rebecca, Emily, Loren, Mitchell; by his sister, Violet Butland of Germantown. He will also be missed by several nieces and nephews, and by all of Mildred's family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by son, Ross; brother, Howard Brewster; sisters, Verna Bennett and Annie Brewster. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Sunday, January 11, 2009 at 2:00pm with Pastor Paul Steeves officiating. Interment will be held in the Bay View Cemetery, Harvey, Albert County, N.B. in the spring. For those who wish, donations to the Bay View Cemetery would be appreciated by the family.
