Iris Aletta Woodworth 1916 - 2009 Iris Aletta Woodworth, 92, of Rocmura Nursing Home in Saint John and formerly of Hillsborough passed away peacefully on January 12, 2009 at the Home. Iris was born in Surrey, Albert County on September 20, 1916, the daughter of Roland and Ivy (Hill) Gross. She was a member of the First Hillsborough Baptist Church and an honorary member of the Women's Missionary Society. Her favorite pastimes included reading and gardening. She loved times spent with her family and was a beloved mother and grandmother. Iris will be remembered for her big smile and great personality. She will live on in the hearts of her family forever. "What we keep in memory is ours forever" She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Janet Jones (Robert) of Saint John; three sons, Rollo (John) Woodworth (Dawn) of London, England, Melvin Woodworth (Ann) of Courtney, Vancouver Island and Grant Woodworth (Ellen) of Hillsborough; brother, Clyde (deVeer) Gross (Emma) of Riverview. She will also be sadly missed by also by her several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, George and by a daughter, Deloria Mac Farlane. There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Saturday, January 17th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Interment will be held at the Grey's Island Cemetery in the spring.
