Helen Flanagan 1939 - 2009 Bass River, NB - Helen Flanagan, 69, of Bass River, passed away peacefully after a brief illness at the Moncton City Hospital, Moncton, on Thursday, January 22nd, 2009. Born in McAdam, NB she was the daughter of the late Kelly and Violet (Roberts) Roberts. Helen will be sadly missed by her husband Kenneth; daughter Sharon Young (Ed) of Bass River; four sons, Kenneth (Louise) of Harcourt, Raymond of Bass River, Randy (Bernice) of Targettville, Robert (Lynn) of Rexton; seven grandchildren, Angel, Morgan, Logan, Pam, Owen, Dustin, Krista; five great grandchildren, Joshua, Dylan, Dorian, Sawyer and Madison; 4 sisters, Evelyn Thompson (Earl), Mary Allen (Ray), Beverly Fraser (Willie), Vivian Scott (Glenn); five brothers, James (late Della), David (Late Rita), Richard (Isabel), Freddy (Esther) and Louis (Cathy); several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one brother, Walter. As per Helen's wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will held on Tuesday, January 27th, 2009 at 2:00 pm, St. Paul's Anglican Church, Brown's Yard. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
