Alice June Fearon
Alice June Fearon 1943 - 2009 June Alice Fearon, 65, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Saturday January 24, 2009. Born in Bass River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Cecil and Margaret (MacPherson) Fearon (both 1994). June was an employee for more than 30 years with the Bank of Montreal in Moncton and Toronto where she was bank manager and head of the audit department for several years. June was the first female "Assistant Bank Inspector" in Canada opening up many doors for the rest of the female workers. She moved back to this area a little over four years ago and took up residence in Moncton. She enjoyed her new home and surroundings and was content working in her flower and vegetable garden until she was diagnosed with cancer. A loving sister, June will be sadly missed by her six brothers, Evan (Jean), Moncton; Frank (Louise), Sackville; Burton, Bass River; Ace (Betty), Moncton; Gordon (Bernice), Elmvale, ON; Ernest (Claudette) Lutes Mountain and Sebring, Florida. She also leaves to mourn her aunts in Saint John and Moncton along with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins. She will be sadly missed by her caregiver, Lita Robichaud who remained with June throughout her illness, her many friends in Ontario as well as the love of her life, her two cats, Bitsy and Callie. Besides her parents, June was predeceased by brother, Harold (1990); sister, Margaret Elizabeth (infant 1938). No visitation by personal request. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Rd. Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday January 28, 2009, 1:00pm. Rev. John Pierce officiating. Reception following the service.
