Irene V. Sutherland Irene V. Sutherland, 76, of Riverview and formerly of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Monday, January 26, 2009, after an illness. Born in Denmark, NS, she was a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Middleton, NS and an adherent of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Moncton. Irene was a graduate of New Glasgow High School and the Nova Scotia Teachers College in Truro, NS. She taught several years in elementary schools in Nova Scotia before moving to Moncton where she worked for the T. Eaton Co. Ltd. for 35 years. Irene is survived by her husband, Alwyn; son, Dean (Heather); grandchildren, Cara and John who were the pride and joy of her life. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a son, David in 1984. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. Interment, Earltown, NS at a later date. Those wishing to do so may make a donation to the charity of their choice in Irene's memory.
