Fernand Savoie 1949 - 2009 Fernand Savoie, 59 of Perry Road, Sainte-Anne de Kent, has passed away peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer at his residence on Saturday January 31st, 2009. Married to Rose-May (Nowlan) Savoie, he was born in Sainte-Anne de Kent on April 6, 1949 to the late Aquila and the late Rosanne (Savoie) Savoie. Fernand was the founder and owner of Savoie Pools and a 3rd degree K of C with the 7010 Bouctouche council. Fernand leaves to mourn his wife Rose-May, his two children, Charlene Savoie (Jaime Gil) of Vancouver and Gaétan (Hélène) of Dieppe, two brothers, Ronald (Jeannine), Bernard (Gisèle) both of Bouctouche and several nephews and nieces. Visitation will be held at the Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Wednesday January 4th, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9, and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church Bouctouche, on Thursday January 5th, 2009 at 7:00 pm. Interment will be in the Sainte-Anne de Kent cemetery in the spring.
