Edna Barrieau 1928 - 2009 Edna Barrieau, 80 of Bouctouche, has passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at the Stella-Maris de Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne de Kent. Married to the late Sylvain Barrieau (1978), she was born in Richibouctou-Village on July 29, 1928 to the late André and the late Obéline (Richard) Gallant. She worked as an ECG technician at the Moncton City Hospital until retirement in 1988. Edna leaves to mourn her three daughters: Gisèle Barrieau from Annapolis Royal, NS, Janet McNeil (Rhéal) of Saint-Maurice de Kent and Anne-Marie Barrieau (Francisco) of Toronto, three sons: Auguste (Cécile), Adrien (Helen), both of Ottawa and Donald (Estelle) of Saint-Maurice de Kent, three sisters: Mélina Desaunier (Rich) of Gardner, Massachusetts, Laura Journey of Phoenix, Arizona and Rita Griffin of Rexton, one brother: Livain (Gloria) of Aldouane, eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by two brothers, Edgar and Emile. Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29, rue de l'église, Bouctouche on Sunday, February 15, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and on Monday, February 16, from 9 to 10: 45 am. Funeral Mass will be held the Saint-Jean-Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche, on Monday, February 16, 2009 at 11:00 am. Interment will be in the parish cemetery in the spring.
