John ''Stephen'' Foster 1953-2009 It is with great sadness that we the family, announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, step-father, step-grandfather and friend, John ''Stephen'' Foster, age 56, of Halifax, NS and formerly of Shediac, NB on Friday, February 13th, 2009 at the Victoria General Hospital, Halifax, NS following a courageous battle with cancer. Born January 23rd, 1953 in Moncton, he was the son of Joan (Oulton) Foster and the late John A. Foster (1985). He leaves to mourn his mother, Joan of Pascal Poirier Residence, Shediac; his former wife, friend and special caregiver Mary (Cleveland); cherished step-son, Nicholas (Marcie) Moriarty; and adored step- grandchildren, Devon, Jacob, Liam and Sophie, all of Halifax, NS. He will be sadly missed by his sister, Natalie (Paul) Smith of Charlottetown, PEI; and his brothers, Robert ''Bobby'' (Joanne) Foster of Shediac and Richard ''Ricky'' (Betty) Foster of Grand-Barachois; and by many nieces, nephews, uncles and friends. There will be no visitation or funeral service by request. His body was forwarded to the Dalhousie University Medical Research Centre in Halifax, NS.
