Ethel Louise (Lyman) Steeves 1932 - 2009 Ethel Louise (Lyman) Steeves, 76, of Hopewell Cape passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 18th, 2009 at her residence with her loving family by her side, having her wishes met by being at home. Ethel was born in Little Ridge, Albert County on October 23rd, 1932 the daughter of the late Minor and Laura (Knowlton) Lyman. Ethel's family was a very important part of her life. Her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchild were her pride and joy. She will live on in her family's hearts forever. She will be deeply missed by her daughter, Louise Tingley (Mansel) and by her son, Samuel Steeves both of Hopewell Cape; grandchildren, Donald, Tina and Laura; and by her cherished great grandchildren, Samantha (Graham), Travis, Daniel, Brookelyn, Maxwell, Hailey, Hannah and great great granddaughter, Madisyn; sister, Lena Butland of Riverside-Albert. She will also be missed by her sister-in-laws, Betty Sears, Doris Steeves, Doreen Steeves and Jean Snelgrove (Ron) and by several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, John Donald Steeves; sisters, Mary and Olive; half-brother, Leonard Lyman, and by her brother-in-laws, Leslie, Robert (Bob) and Jim. The family would like to invite relatives and friends to join them in celebrating Ethel's life at their home (4000 Route 114, Hopewell Cape) on Friday Evening from 7 to 9pm. A graveside service will be held at the Green Hill Cemetery, Edgett's Landing in the spring. For those who wish, donations to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated by the family.
