Vera M. Steeves Vera M. Steeves, 91, of Spencer Memorial Home and formerly of Mapleton Rd., Moncton, with her family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Sunday, March 1, 2009. Born in Hopewell Hill, she was the daughter of the late Eben and Maude (Collins) Steeves. Vera was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Parkside Baptist Church, enjoyed bowling at Park Lanes (Riverview), quilting, travelling and spending time with her family and friends. Vera will be sadly missed by her husband of over 68 years, Vaughn W. Steeves; daughters, Betty Lane (Davies), Riverview, Sharon Rankin (Keith), Guelph, ON; son, Eugene, Moncton; grandchildren, Kim Frazee (Sheldon), Stephen Lane (Diane), Cheryl Lane, Colleen, Robin Lindhurst (Lynn); great grandchildren, Shawn, Lesley-Dawn, Samantha, Erica, Robynne, Stephanie, Victoria, Rebecca, Dynan, Sarah; great great grandson, Kaiden; step great grandson, Stephen; sister, Mildred Wilson, Turtle Creek; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her grandson, Allen (1979); sister, Leta; brothers, Coleman, Harry. No visitation by personal request. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday, March 4, 2009, 1:30 pm, Pastor Jim Alley officiating. Reception following the service.
