Robert L. Forrest 1932 - 2009 Miramichi - Robert Lloyd Forrest, husband of Shirley Forrest, of Heritage Acres, Miramichi, passed away at his residence, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the age of 76, following a lengthy illness. Born in Napan, on May 20, 1932, he was the son of the late Arnold and Claire (Jardine) Forrest. He was a retired employee of the Dept. of National Defense, at the former CFB Chatham. He attended St. Michaels Basilica, Miramichi. He is survived by his wife, the former Shirley LeBreton; three daughters, Triena Russell, of Halifax, N.S., Dana Murphy (Edward), of Saint John, Tanya Dickson (Kevin), of Napan; two sons, Darrell McDermaid (Donna), of Miramichi and Robert Forrest Jr., of Moncton; three sisters, Faye Williston (Max), of Miramichi, Anna MacDonald (Robert), of Montreal, Que., Ruby Forrest, of Moncton; two brothers, Arthur Forrest (Mary), of Montreal, Que., Lyle Forrest, of Calgary, Alta; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Ted and Douglas Forrest. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Monday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Michaels Basilica, on Tuesday, March 10, 2009, at 10 am, conducted by Father John Fraser. Interment will be in St. Michaels Cemetery, later in the spring. Please note, vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Monday, at 1:45pm.
