Stanley MacDonald 1920 - 2009 Miramichi - Stanley MacDonald, of Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Glenwood, passed away at his residence, on Saturday, March 7, 2009, at the age of 88. Born in Glenwood, on August 14, 1920, he was the son of the late Robert and Florence (Sullivan) MacDonald. He was a woodsworker and a former employee of both North Shore Construction ltd., and Robert Lamkey Ltd. He was an adherent of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge. He is survived by two sisters, Jean MacDonald, of Napan and Hazel Watling, of Glenwood; one brother, Leonard MacDonald (Barbara), of North Black River Road; one sister in law, Irene MacDonald, of Glenwood; as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one sister, Ruby Muir; two brothers, Herman and Eldon MacDonald. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Monday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, on tuesday, March 10, 2009, at 3 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Stephen's United Church (General Fund) would be appreciated by the family.
