John Robert Craig 1921 - 2009 On March 14, at the age of 87, with great joy John passed from time into the eternal presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. John knew his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and was obedient to Him for over 70 years. Born September 06, 1921 in Windsor, Ontario the son of the late Robert and Pearl Craig (Rothenbueler). Born again, November 16, 1938. John never missed an opportunity to tell others of the Lord Jesus Christ's mercy shown by His death at the cross. John made it very clear that it was nothing of himself that enabled him to obtain salvation, but only by the grace of God shown to him at Calvary. John and his wife, Lillian (Mclean) Craig, moved to Moncton, New Brunswick permanently in 1974. He was employed by the Moncton District School Board until his retirement in 1989. He will be sadly missed by his wife of over 69 years, Lillian Craig (Mclean), his brother, Howard Craig and wife Doris of Windsor, Ontario, his daughter, Grace Morton (Craig) and husband Allison Morton, son-in-law Andrew Labenne, husband of Sharon Labenne (Craig) gone to be with the Lord February 2007, three grandchildren; Adrian Labenne, Ross Morton (DeeDee), Shane Morton (Shirley), his three great grandchildren; Caleb, Jacob and Joshua Morton, nieces and nephews. The family has the glorious hope of meeting John and our Savior in a coming day. The family wishes to express sincere thanks to Dr. Li for his many years of care for John, also NB Extra Mural, and home care givers, Beverly Carruthers and Brenda MacCallum. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday, March 17th, 2009 from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 at 1:00 pm.
