E. L. "Deane" McAuley The death of Eldeane "Deane" L. McAuley, of Moncton, occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, March 15th, 2009, following a lengthy illness. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late O.G. and Molly (Hare) McAuley. Before her retirement, Deane was employed for many years as Office Manager of the Moncton Branch, Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. She was a member of First Moncton United Baptist Church, Life Member of the Daughters of the Nile, Fort Monckton Chapter IODE, Moncton Hospital Auxiliary and Charter Member of the Moncton Women's Probus Club; former member of the Moncton Golf and Country Club, the Beaver Curling Club and served with the Red Cross Volunteer Corps during WWII. Deane is survived by her life-long friends, Phyllis Dryden, Moncton; Ian Dryden and Marcia Deane Dryden-West; dear cousins, Norma Wilson, Joan Woodworth, Ross Wilson; as well as several other cousins. In addition to her parents, predeceased by brothers, Les and Earl; special friends, Doug Waneck and Catherine Tuck. No visitation or funeral service by personal request. Graveside Committal Service to be held at a later date.
