
James Blackmore
James Blackmore 1929 - 2009 James L. Blackmore, 80, of Shediac, passed away on Sunday, March 22nd 2009 at the Moncton Hospital, Moncton, NB. Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Lawson and the late Ethel (née: Harding) Blackmore. Mr. Blackmore had retired from Co-op Atlantic. He founded the Blackmore School of Dance and managed it for over 30 years, was a board member for Crime Stoppers, a member of the Club d'Age d'Or of Shediac and of the Probus Association. He is survived by his 2nd wife, Aline (née: Bourque); three daughters: Margaret "Peggy" of Fredericton, Cheryl of St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and Janice (Kevin) Estabrooks of Sackville, NB; two sons: James (Rhonda) of Ottawa and Brent (Lise) of Fredericton; two step-daughters: Margot (Gerald) O'Brien of Shediac and Michelle (Lance) Davis of Dieppe; one step-son, Marc Landry of Shediac; one sister, Marlene (Myles) Curtis of Riverview; one brother, Sterling (Marg) of Nordin, NB, seven grandchildren: April Dawn (Carlos), Christopher, Alex, Jerett, Kayla, Kylan and Maggie; four step grandchildren: Pierre, Melanie, Natasha and Christine; one great grandchild, Hayden as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his 1st wife of 42 years, Margaret (née: Vautour) in 1994 and also by one sister, Jackie Murray. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 pm and from 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 10 am until time of departure. Funeral mass will be celebrated from the St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, NB on Wednesday, March 25th 2009 at 11 am. Interment in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
