Vera A. Manderson 1912 - 2009 Miramichi - Vera Agnes Manderson, widow of the late G. Parker Manderson, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, and formerly of Loggieville, passed away at her residence, on Monday, March 30, 2009, at the age of 96. Born in Loggieville, on October 14, 1912, she was the daughter of the late William and Jean (MacDiarmid) Russell. She was a homemaker and a member of Knox United Church, Miramichi; a former church organist at Knox United Church for many years; a former member of the U.C.W. She is survived by two sons, Peter L. Manderson ( Debbie), of Miramichi and John W. Manderson (Shirley), of Mississauga, Ont.; four grandchildren; Ashley, Marsha, Trenda and Lynette; twin great grandchildren, Keaton and Ainsley; two sisters, Mary (Deed) Russell, of Miramichi and Bertha Cox, of Prince Edward Island; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Parker, in 1997; two sisters, Florence Hutchinson and Winnifred (Bill) Weeks; two brothers, Harold and Wilmer Russell. Visiting will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi on Thursday only, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Knox United Church, on Friday, April 3, 2009, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Pine Grove Cemetery, (Vault Fund), or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
