Mr. Alfred J. Goguen 1931 - 2009 Alfred (Fred) J. Goguen, of Moncton passed away peacefully after a short battle with pneumonia at the age of 78 years, with his daughter Cathy by his side, on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton, January 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Edmund and Mary Ann (nee Roy) Goguen. He is survived by his wife Doreen (McWilliam), his daughter Cathy and her husband Trevor Robson, step daughter Susan Pye (Summerside, PEI), step grand children, Darlene and Andy of PEI and step son Doug Jones of Moncton. He will be missed by his brother Ernie (Phyllis) Goguen, a sister Alma Goguen of Shediac, NB, and nephew Todd (Janet) Goguen. He is predeceased by his sister Irene Goguen of Moncton. Fred drove a taxi for White Cab in his younger years and was a salesman at Lounsbury Chevrolet car dealership before retiring. He liked to watch television and sports. A very special heart felt thank you to Dr. William Taylor and the staff of 4100 for your care, compassion and support for dad while he was in the hospital. By personal request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation will take place under the direction of Fair Haven Funeral Home, with interment in St. Matthews United Church Cemetery in Clairville, NB at a later date. In memory of Fred donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or The Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation.
