Gordon Lutes
Gordon Lutes 1919 - 2009 Gordon Lutes, 90 of Moncton passed peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, April 14, 2009 after a courageous battle with Cancer. Born in England and raised in Berry Mills by his grandparents, Marven and Edith. Son of the late Stanley and Stella Lutes and husband of the late Marjorie O. (Steeves) Lutes. Gordon was a Veteran of the Second World War, Member of Steeves Memorial Church, Moncton. He was employed as a Pipefitter for many years at CNR retiring in 1977. Gordon was an avid outdoorsman. His passion was gardening, fishing, snowmobiling and travel as well as Community Turkey Suppers. He will be sadly missed by two daughters, Dianne (Raymond) Muir of Fredericton, Janice (Robert) Lutes of Vancouver and one son, Glenn (Cathy) Lutes of Hanwell, four grandchildren Allan (Erika), Brian, Jakob, Rebekka and many friends and acquaintances. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at 2:30 pm followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Gordon's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
