Stella Gallant 1914 - 2009 Stella Gallant, 95, wife of the late Hervé Gallant formerly of Shediac Bridge passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Villa Providence, Shediac. Born March 13, 1914 in Shediac Bridge, she was the daughter of the late Alphée and Eva (Poirier) Poirier. A school teacher for 35 years, Mrs. Gallant taught part of those years on Shediac Island. She was the last teacher to have taught on Shediac Island. She will be sadly missed by her godson Léonard Gallant and his wife Christine of Shediac Bridge and by many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Hervé (1988), she is also predeceased by a sister, Bertha and by a brother Joseph Alphée. In keeping with Stella's wishes, there will be no visiting hours. A Chapel Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009 at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297). Interment in La Visitation Roman Catholic Cemetery, Grande-Digue.
