Gerald (Gerry) Bannister 1929 - 2009 Gerald Uz Bannister, age 80 passed away Thursday, May 7th at QE II hospital in Halifax after battling a long illness. Gerry was the son of the late Russell and Elizabeth (Bessie) Bannister of Moncton, NB. He is survived by his wife Theresa (Prendergast) of Halifax, son Michael (Susan), Riverview, NB, Son David (Jean) of Dartmouth, Daughter Jane of Moncton, NB, his four grandchildren, Jill, Kelly, Lindsay, and Justin as well as four great grandchildren. Gerry was a member of the Masons and original member of the Nummies and an avid golfer. He was employed for 33 years with Canadian Salt Company as General Sales Manager. He will be sadly missed. Memorial service to be held Wednesday, May 13th at 2pm at Birch Cove United Baptist Church, 10 Donaldson Ave., Halifax, NS. Reception to follow.
