of Jerseyside (formerly of Pond Head Argentia) died peacefully August 17, 2008 at the Health Sciences Center at the age of 74. "Mr. Fix-it" was a long-time member of UA Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 740. Philip will be remembered as a proud father and grandfather. He was a wonderful storyteller, an avid reader and a lover of nature, world history, song and verse, jiggs dinner and a "drop of stuff". Predeceased by parents Elizabeth and Bernard Power, brothers Martin, Michael, Ronald and baby Ronald, sisters baby Anne and Anne Lafrance and brothers-in-law Roger Lafrance, Bill McCauley and George Clarke. Leaving to mourn loving wife of 51 years, Patricia (nee Bruce), sons Wayne (Elizabeth), Tim (Kim), Terry (Cherie), Bruce (Shyla) daughters Yvonne Hartley (Dennis), Janet and Rhonda (Michael Williams). Grandchildren: Matthew, Emilie, Philip, Marcus, John, Caleb and Jacob.
