Veronica Loree
Veronica Loree Veronica Loree, 72, wife of Warren Loree, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at The Moncton Hospital following a brief illness. Born February 21, 1937 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Mary (Schella) Hanusiak. She was a graduate of Mount Saint Vincent University with her Bachelor of Education Degree and the recipient of the President's Prize, the highest and most prestigious award offered for outstanding workmanship, efficiency and co-operation. She had extensive experience in the educational system of Alberta. In her early career, she was a school teacher in Edmonton and Calgary, Alberta. She was awarded the Excellence in Teaching Award from the Calgary Roman Catholic School District. For fifteen years, Veronica was an educational leader in advanced adult education at the Alberta Vocational Center where she developed many programs for the Alberta School System. She also was active for many years as a Vocational Counselor and Administrator. In addition to Warren, her beloved husband for forty-three years, she leaves to mourn her sisters and brothers: Anna Allain (Joe), Charlotte Dickson (Jack), Theresa Constantine (Reg), Dorothy Servant (Stuart), Frances Roach, Rudy (Dorothy), and John (late Anne), many nieces and nephews. A sister, Julia Hanusiak, predeceased her. No visitation by request. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Saint Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, Botsford Street, Moncton, on Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Grande-Digue. A donation in Veronica's memory to the Saint Bernard's Church Elevator Fund would be greatly appreciated.
