67, Westmount Elizabeth Mary Billard, 67, of Westmount, passed away at home on Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by her family. Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Hest) Campbell. Betty was a longtime member of Holy Rosary parish, Westmount. Surviving are her sons, Robert (Lisa), Musquodoboit Harbour; Fr. Keith, Digby; four grandchildren Mark, Samantha, Katelin and Breanna; brother, Joe (Leone) Campbell, Reserve Mines; sister, Marie (Barry) Irvine, Waverley; sisters-in-law, Marie MacGillivary and Marion (Bud) Walke, and numerous nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husband, Robert, brothers, Roddy, Charlie, Bernie, John, Thomas and sister, Kay Gilliam. Visitation for the late Betty Billard will be held today (Thursday) at T.W. Curry Parkview Chapel from 6- 9 p.m. with prayer service at 8 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated Friday at 11 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church with Frs. Doug Murphy and Keith Billard concelebrating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you for care received from Palliative Care, especially to Sharon Barron, VON and Cape Care.
