Elie Thibodeau
Elie Thibodeau 1927 - 2009 Elie Thibodeau, 82, of Residence Myosotis, Cocagne and formerly of Saint-Norbert de Kent, has peacefully passed away at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, after a lengthy illness, on Friday, May 22, 2009. Married to the late Rose-Eva Daigle, he was born in Saint-Norbert de Kent on April 4, 1927 to the late Adolphe and the late Marianne (Maillet) Thibodeau. Elie is survived by his four daughters: Cécile Babineau (Edgar) of Grand-Barachois, Odette Murphy (Roger) of Grande-Digue, Jacqueline Maillet (Jean-Guy) of Saint-Antoine and Estelle Thibodeau (Gabriel) of Cocagne, five sons: Norbert (Anne) of Moncton, Alcide (Claudette) of Saint-Norbert, Pierre (Evelyn) of Haiti, Roger (Jocelyne) of Rogersville and Léon (Stella) of Saint-Norbert; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, three sisters: Laura Gauvin and Aurore LeBlanc (Roger) both of Moncton and Diana Maillet of Saint-Antoine, three brothers: Donat (Edna) and Ernest (Anita), both of Dieppe and Antoine (Kathy) of Saskatchewan. Elie was predeceased by one son, Claude and two brothers, Emile and Placide. Visitation will be held at the Saint-Norbert Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Norbert de Kent on Monday, May 25, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 5:45 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Norbert Church, on May 25, 2009 at 7 pm. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In Elie's memory donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society or the Saint-Norbert Cemetery Fund.
