Doris Greenwood 1923 - 2009 Doris Rita Greenwood (nee Richard), 86, passed away peacefully following a brief illness at ProTem Health Services Moncton on Monday, May 25th, 2009. Born in Sackville, NB, she was the daughter of the late Dosithe and Esther (LeBlanc) Richard. Doris retired following 31 years with Bell Canada in Montreal and Toronto. She was an active member of The Royal Canadian Legion, Stayner ON Branch # 457, and also served as VP and President. Doris loved her family, cooking, her dogs, entertaining, and a good party. Doris will be sadly missed by her step-daughters Jean Irving (Bob) of Calgary, AB, Darlene Droboth of Claresholm, AB, step-son George Greenwood (Susan) of Montreal, QC, grandchildren Jessica Irving, Tina Wiebe, Justin Droboth, Cory Droboth, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband George Greenwood, sisters Emerice Cormier, Del Kennedy, Mary Shea, and Bertha Savoie. There will be no visitation at the funeral home prior to the Memorial Mass at St. Bernard's Roman Catholic Church, 43 Botsford Street, Moncton at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 27th, 2009. The Mass will be followed by a reception in the church hall. In Doris' memory, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
