Rodrigue Poirier 1947 - 2009 Shediac Bridge - Rodrigue Poirier, 61, passed away suddenly at the St-John Regional Hospital on Tuesday, May 26, 2009. Born in Grande-Digue on October 21, 1947, he was the son of the late Léonce and Maria Poirier. Rodrigue was self-employed. He owned a Harvey's franchise on Mountain Road in Moncton for 27 years. He also was the owner of the Evangeline Variety store since 1991. Rodrigue will sadly be missed by his wife, Dolores; his son Rodrigue (Stéphanie) of Dieppe; his daughter, Monique Chiasson (Marco) of Bathurst; two brothers, Robert (Cécile) of Shediac, Alcide of Ontario; two sisters, Anne-Marie Babineau (Jerry) of Shediac Bridge, Lucille Bourque (Edwin) of Cocagne; one sister-in-law, Ginette Poirier (Pitre) of Shediac Bridge; two grandchildren, Eve and Samuel; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Jean-Paul. Visitation at Passage Funeral Co-operative in Shediac Bridge will take place on Thursday, May 28, from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9 pm., also on Friday, May 29 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. Funeral service will be held on Friday at the La Visitation Roman Catholic Church in Grande-Digue at 11 am.
