Edward Brine

Edward Brine 1918 - 2009 Edward Brine, 90, of Cap-Pelé, passed away on Wednesday June 3rd, 2009 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born in Cap-Pelé, NB, he was the son of the late John William and the late Marie (née: LeBlanc) Brine. Mr. Brine had retired from MacDonald Paving. He was an avid dancer and dart player, he enjoyed nature, especially his garden and also crosswords puzzles. He was a member of the Club d'Age d'Or and a parishioner of Ste-Thérèse-d'Avila Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his second wife, Marguerite Niles-Landry; two sons: Charles (Marcia) Brine of Dieppe and Victor (Cheryl) Brine of Porters Lake, NS; two step daughters: Ginette Landry of Memramcook and Leonette (Bobby) Vautour of Bas Cap-Pelé; four step sons: Bernard (Lucille) Landry of Memramcook, Eric (Anna) Landry of Toronto, ON, Benoit (Yvonne) Landry and Léo (Pauline) Noël, both of Moncton; one sister, Almira McCarthy of Moncton; three grandchildren; ten step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Velma Surette in 1978; seven sisters: Alma, Laura, Marceline, Loraine, Yvonne, Leontine and Sr. Louisa ndsc; four brothers: Albert, Henry, Yvon and Joe and also by one step granddaughter, Isabel. Visitation will be held from the Ste-Thérèse-d'Avila Church Funeral Salon, Cap-Pelé, NB on Monday from 2 to 4 pm and from 6 pm until time of funeral. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse-d'Avila Roman Catholic Church, Cap-Pelé, NB on Monday, June 8th, 2009 at 7 pm. Interment in Parish Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Church Fund would be appreciated by the family.
