Mildred Eleanor DeWare
Mildred Eleanor DeWare 1918 - 2009 It is with great sadness that Mildred's family announces her passing upon arrival at The Moncton City Hospital on Thursday, June 18th, 2009 at the age of 90. Born in Amherst, NS, she was the daughter of the late Osborne and Nellie (Steeves) Scott and moved to Moncton at the age of 2. Mildred was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family and was noted for her knitting and crocheting. She was a member of Sunny Brae Baptist Church, former choir member and former member of the Braesiders. Mildred has been living at McNair Manor for the past year. Mildred will be sadly missed by her daughter, Joan Donovan (late Bill) and her son, Douglas (Betty Harrison), both of Moncton; grandchildren, Tim Donovan, his children, Kelly and Mark; Larry Donovan (Jane), their daughter, Courtney, all of Moncton; Susan (Lee) Brown, their children, Kyle and Erin, Dartmouth and Kevin, Vancouver; Heather (Claude) Savoie, their children, Megan, Stephanie and Danielle; Michael (Diane) DeWare, their children, Rebecca and Mitchell, all of Moncton and Scott DeWare, Toronto; great great granddaughter, Lauryn Donovan. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Harold (2000); a son, Roger and daughter, Judith; sisters, Muriel Smith, Eileen Jonah, Lorna Johnson, Dorothy Lewis; brothers, Walter, Norman and Gordon Scott. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Monday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, Wednesday, June 24th, 2009, 11:00 am, Rev. Colin Cook officiating. Reception following the service. Interment in Elmwood Cemetery.
