HELEN B. KILLAM

KILLAM, HELEN B. - Helen B. Killam, 86, of Spencer Memorial Home, Moncton and formerly of Riverview, with members of her family at her side, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday morning, June 30, 2009. Born in Pleasant Vale, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Pearl (Colpitts) Steeves. Helen was a former employee of the J. D. Creaghan and the T. Eaton Co. Ltd., a member of Riverview Baptist Church, former choir member, former Sunday School teacher, past president of the Cathy McGorman W.M.S., Past President of the Riverview Baptist Church Goldenaires Group; member and Past Matron of Winston Churchill Chapter #19 O.E.S, Riverside-Albert, Past Provincial President of the Grand Representative Association of New Brunswick and former member of the Codiac Chords Ladies Barbershoppers. Helen is survived by her stepson, David (Goldie), Riverview; step grandchildren, Lee, Lisa, Lori; brother, Wallace Steeves (Ethel), Petitcodiac; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, predeceased by her husband, Barrett A. Killam, (1989); brothers, Raymond, Woodrow, Ivan; sisters, Margaret, Emily, Winnifred. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Thursday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Winston Churchill Chapter #19 O.E.S. Memorial Service, Thursday, 6:45 pm. Funeral service, Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapter, Friday, July 3, 2009, 1:30 pm, Rev. Jonathan Gorham officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service.
