BEERS, MARJORIE - 1927 - 2009 - Marjorie Beers passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. Born in Charlottetown, PE daughter of the late Gerald and Harriet (Case) Acorn and stepmother Mary Acorn. Marjorie was employed with Swift Canadian for 24 years, member of The Legion and CNR War Vets. She was a music lover, enjoyed dancing, bowling, embroidery and swimming. Marjorie was a loving wife to Ernest Beers for 55 years. Besides her husband, Marjorie will be sadly missed by four daughters, Charlene (David) Hutchings of Dartmouth, NS, Carol Arsenault of Moncton, Gail Beers of Riverview and Barbara (Dean) Brown of Boundary Creek; eight grandchildren, Sandra, Rodney, Valerie, Tyler, Matthew, Kyle, Corey, Colin as well as two great grandchildren Callum and Jasmine. She is also survived by five brothers, Jerry, David, Leroy, Billy, Maurice and one sister Josephine Havenga as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Marjorie was predeceased by a brother, Raymond; two sisters Dorothy and Geraldine. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home with visitation on Friday, July 17 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home on Saturday, July 18 at 11:00 am followed by a reception in the Garden View Reception Room. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. Remembrances in Marjorie's memory may be made to the Diabetes Association or the charity of the donor's choice.
