CORMIER, FRANCIS V. - 75, of Shediac passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2009 at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton following a lengthy illness. Born January 24, 1934 in Shediac, he was the son of the late Zoël and Marguerite (Gallant) Cormier. Francis was a former policeman with the Shediac Police Force. He retired from Correctional Service of Canada. He is survived by his loving wife Louise Coates; one daughter Colette Hendrickson (Jeff) of Pointe du Chêne; two sons: Marc (Michelle) of Grand-Barachois and Jacques of Harrisville; five sisters: Dorine Belliveau (Hector), Catherine Cormier and Rose (Hélène) Cormier all of Shediac, Cécilia Cormier of Québec, Paulette Legendre of Fredericton; three brothers: Aimé (Alfreda) Cormier of Shediac, John (Annette Sauvé) of Alexandria, ON and Robert (Gladys) of Kitchener, ON; two grandchildren: Christian and Sophie, several nieces, nephews, friends and by his former wife Juliette Cormier. He is predeceased by two sisters: Doris and Aline and by two brothers: Alyre and Maurile. A private service was held at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with interment in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery, Shediac.
