MACDONALD, JANE - Miramichi - It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt, and cousin, Jane MacDonald. She died Sunday at Walls Special Care Home in Blackville at the age of 68. Jane was the daughter of the late James Francis (Frank) MacDonald and Margaret (Fitzpatrick) MacDonald. Jane was born on May 21, 1941. She grew up and spent over 50 years of her life at Bay du Vin River before moving to stay at her special home in Blackville. Jane was loved and will be missed. We wish to make a very special thanks to all who have been her friends. Jane is survived by her sister Helen Chamberlain (Jack) of Dartmouth, NS and her brother David MacDonald (Mary Ann) of Thunder Bay, ON; nieces Jennifer (Duff) Chamberlain and Heidi (Steve) Chamberlain, and nephew Duncan MacDonald. Jane was predeceased by her parents and brother John G. MacDonald. Jane lived her life with courage and dignity. She had a love of music, the wonders of nature, the birds and flowers, and a special fondness for cats and dogs. She has left us a legacy of a gentle and kind spirit which will live on in our hearts. Miss Jane MacDonald is resting at Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB with visitation on Wednesday Evening only from 7-9 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 11am from St Michael's by the Sea Church in Bay Du Vin with Fr Leon Creamer officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the New Brunswick Mental Health Association would be appreciated.
