CRAIG, FREDERICK HAZEN
CRAIG, FREDERICK HAZEN 1916 - 2009 - Frederick Hazen Craig of Woodstock, NB passed away on Friday, July 24, 2009. He was born at Garden Creek, (Fredericton) on January 2, 1916. Son of the late Alfred A. & Eva (Craig) Craig. Survived by his wife, Eileen (Simpson) of 64 years; daughter, Maureen Craig McIntosh (Douglas Jones) of Riverview, NB and her son Shawn (Olga) McIntosh and Great Grandson Nicholas McIntosh; sons Colin (Jill) Craig of Grafton, NB and children Erica (Bruno) de Passille & Matthew Craig. Barry (Sara) Craig of Fredericton, NB and children Patrick, Mary, Catherine; sister-in-law, Thelma Craig. Hazen Craig was predeceased by his parents; son, Neil Craig; brothers, Vincent, Lloyd and Hartley Craig; and sisters, Florence Mason and Faye Aube. Mr. Craig was a WW II Veteran (RCAF) and employed with Canada Post for Thirty-two years. He received the following awards during his life. CNIB Distinguished Volunteer Award, Royal Canadian Legion Branch #11- Legionnaire of the Year, Anglican Diocese of Fredericton Award of Merit, The Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal. He was active in the Community in the following areas. Diocese of Fredericton Layreader; Superintendent, St. Luke's Anglican Church Sunday School; Woodstock Old Home Week Commission; President, Woodstock Minor Baseball Association; Various Executive Positions, Royal Canadian Legions, Branch # 11; Canadian Cancer Society; Lion's Club Vault Committee; NB Progressive Conservative Carleton South, Campaign Manager; CNIB; and was a fan and supporter of High School Athletics. Funeral service to be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. from St. Luke's Anglican Church, Main Street, Woodstock. Ven. Walter Williams will be officiating assisted by The Most Rev. Harold Nutter. A reception will follow at the Parish Hall. The interment will be held at Christ Church Cemetery, Lower Woodstock, NB at 4:30 P.M.
