RUPERT NORMAN HAIRE
HAIRE, RUPERT NORMAN - 1950-2009 Rupert Norman Haire, 58, of Riverside- Albert passed away peacefully on July 25th, 2009 at the Moncton Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Rupert was born in H.R. Grace, Nfld, on October 3, 1950 the son of the late Edward & Florence Anne (Warren) Haire. He was a member of the St. Paul's Anglican Church in Nfld. He served in the Armed Forces, Navy and Army from 1970-1984. He worked with the Department of Agriculture for the past few years. He was truly a jack of all trades, he enjoyed woodworking, making models, reading - he was a real history buff, fishing and hunting. He also had a special interest in boats and loved the water. You could also always find Rupert tinkering with old cars and trucks, he had a special Ford truck in his driveway that he took great pride in. He will be remembered for his great sense of humour, Rupert enjoyed joking around and making comments that always got him a second look. He also had a special place in his heart for animals. He was always ready for a cup of tea and good company. Above all things he was a man who loved spending time with his family, they were his world. He was looking forward to Brenda Anne's wedding next month and will now be there in spirit, wanting his little girl to know he will always be there. "Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us everyday, unseen, unheard, but always near." He was a truly beloved husband, father and grandfather who will live on in the hearts of his family forever. He will be deeply missed by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara Haire; his cherished children, Sean Haire (Cleo) of Halifax, Warren Haire (Jill) of Halifax, John R. Cooper of Alberta, Bradley Cooper (Tammy) of Maine, USA, Darrell Cooper of Riverside-Albert, Amanda Cooper of Alberta and Brenda Anne Haire (Matthew) of Hillsborough; his treasured grandson, Anthony. He will also be missed by special cousins, Sylvia Berry (Scott) of Hillsborough and Norman Lockyer (Carol) of Deep Brook, NS; also by all of Barbara's family. Honoring Rupert's own request there will be no visitation. A Funeral Service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28th, 2009 at 2:00pm with Rev. Rob Salloum officiating.
