NEATA ETHEL GUNTER
GUNTER, NEATA ETHEL - It is with great sadness that the family of Neata Gunter of Whites Cove announce her passing at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Jemseg on March 31st, 1922, she was the wife of the late George Gunter and the daughter of the late Lorne and Helen (Dykeman) Urquhart. Neata is survived by daughters, Betty Dykeman of Moncton, Barb (Ken) Lawson of Fredericton and Mary Lou (Charles) Connell, of Codys; son, John (Laureen) Gunter of Whites Cove; ten grandchildren, Karen (Fred) Leidemer, Peter (Nancy) Dykeman, Stephanie (Trevor) Perry, Rhonda (Derrick) Rushton, Carolyn (John) MacBain, Jennifer (Mike) Murray, Patsy Connell, Krista (Gavin) Phillips, Mark (Caryn) Gunter and Charity-Rae (Jared) Hale; eight great grandchildren, Craig and Colin Rushton, Ewan, Ryan and Kyle MacBain, Emma and Lily Murray and Faith Phillips; sister-in-law, Lucille Gunter and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Neata was predeceased by her brother, Percy Urquhart; sister, Dorothy Condon and son-in-law, Bert Dykeman. Visitation will be held at Oromocto Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 28th, 2009 from 3-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, July 29 at 2 pm from Jemseg Baptist Church with Rev. Daniel Walton officiating. Interment will follow in the Jemseg Community Cemetery.
