CAPTAIN DONALD J. LEBLANC

LEBLANC, CAPTAIN DONALD J. - Captain Donald "Midnite" J. LeBlanc, 62, of Moncton with his loving wife by his side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Thursday, July 30th, 2009. Born in Moncton he was the son of the late Fred and Bella (Leger) LeBlanc. Don was a retired Captain with the Moncton Fire Department with over 29 years service. He was an avid outdoors person who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Don enjoyed playing darts at different dart clubs and playing baseball in past years. His passion was driving his Yamaha Venture motorcycle. Don loved to tease, crack jokes, laugh and enjoyed singing very loudly to "Hank Williams Jr." music with his family and friends. He was a Boston Bruin fan who enjoyed spending time with his happy gang friends, his fire department crew but first and foremost he enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. Don will be sadly missed by his loving wife of over 17 years, Paulette (Drisdelle) LeBlanc; special sister in law, Claudette (Coy) Drisdelle; daughter, Susan LeBlanc, Riverview; son, Timmy LeBlanc, ON; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Jeremy and Derek; sisters, Geneva Rootham (Kenneth), Pickering, ON; Dorice Leger (late Archie), Moncton; Flora LeBlanc (Norbert), Cocagne; brother, Raymond (Stella), Cocagne; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Roger and George. In Honoring Don's wishes, no visitation by personal request. A Celebration of Don's Life will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Wednesday August 5th, 2009, 11:00am. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Center following the service. Interment, Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In Don's memory, donations to Moncton Firefighter's Burn Unit or Friend's of the Moncton Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) would be appreciated. Online condolences at www.fergusonknowlesfh.com
