ATTIS, MORTON M. - Morton "Morty" M. Attis, 67, of Moncton surrounded by his loving family, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Sunday August 2, 2009. Born in Moncton, he was the son of Minnie Attis (Attis) of Moncton and the late Jacob Attis (Oct. 1956). Morty attended Tiferes Israel Synagogue and was an active member with the Moncton Elks Club. In addition to his mother Minnie, Morty will be sadly missed by his wife, Peggy (Babcock) Attis; sons, Jake Dan (Jody) and their daughter Lily, Atlanta, Georgia; Marc Andrew, Toronto, ON; Simcha Shawn, Moncton; brothers, David (Margaret), Moncton; Hilton (Mark), Halifax; Sanford (Rosalyn), Moncton; several nieces and nephews. Funeral Service was held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Sunday August 2, 2009 at 2:00pm. Interment was held at Tiferes Israel Cemetery, Dieppe.
